Studying sports and health science at IT Carlow 2016

You can’t imagine how nice and kind the people are in Ireland. There is no racism here. I regularly play basketball with players from different countries every Friday and we always have a great fun. One more thing I have to mention is that the living cost is much cheaper than HK’s

MScIM , Trinity College Dublin 2016

As a place of great historical and cultural importance, Dublin is definitely one of my favourite cities. My journey with Trinity College Dublin has made my overall Irish experience an even better one. I took part in the programme of MSc in International Management and it has definitely opened the gateway to the career I aimed to pursue. Other than gaining solid academic foundations, I have established the most valuable relationships with all the young professionals I met along the way. Ireland is not just a place where I enhanced my academic profile, but also a great setting in which I have developed my global perspective. My choice to Trinity will never be regretted and Dublin will always be the Place-To-Be for everyone who enjoys life.

Studying overseas was never part of my plan. Yet, I came to Ireland to study because I wish to broaden my horizon.

Ireland, as a European country, has lots of difference when comparing to Hong Kong, especially in Galway, it is very quiet where you can focus on your study and on yourself. I have revised my learning style and found out the most effective way of learning for me. Also, classes are small that you can easily concentrate in class and make progress. What’s more, with the encouragement of your teachers, you will learn to motivate yourself when no one will help you to achieve your goals. It highly depends on how much effort you put in.

Galway has a spectacular sea view, you will feel relaxed and relieved whenever you are stressed about your work or being homesick. People in Ireland are very nice and friendly, they are always willing to talk to you. Although there are far less entertainment than in Hong Kong, you will be more likely to try new things and earn a new experience. In addition, you can join festivals such as Saint Patrick’s Day, Food Festival, all of these festivals show the friendliness and hospitality of Irish people.

Studying in Ireland provides me with an opportunity to experience an entirely different culture. The environment is extremely comfortable with a slower tempo and relaxing atmosphere which allows me to refresh myself after finishing study. One thing that has impressed me a lot is that Irish people are unbelievably friendly and kind. They are willing to chat with you despite not knowing you. Apart from the environment and culture, the quality education in Ireland also strengthens my academic knowledge a lot. Undoubtedly, studying abroad is the best way for me to become a better English user which is also one of the purposes of me being in Ireland. As I communicate with teachers in English all the time, I am actually becoming more confident when interacting with native speakers. Therefore, I think I have made the right decision to study in Ireland. A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step, I am sure that I can progress myself continuously and have an outstanding development in the future.

升讀GMIT – Bachelor of Business in Marketing (Year 2)
I completed a FETAC Level 6 Business Administration course in 2009 at Irish International Business School (IIBS). Now, I am in my final year of Bachelor of Business in marketing at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). I work at The G hotel and recently lead a team of four at a hospitality competition called “Accommodation Olympics 2012” which was hosted by IASI (Irish Accommodation Services Institute). We were the Winner of the competition. We won a prize of 1000 Euro and were invited to a GALA lunch to meet the Winning team in the UK at the 5 star Savoy Hotel in London. It was a great experience and achievement for me.

GMIT – Bachelor of Business in Culinary Arts (Year 1)
