“IIEC”, “we”, “our” and “us” mean any or all of Irish International Education Center and its subsidiaries.  “You” and “your” mean any of you and your parents or guardians (if you are a minor), as the case may be. If you are a parent or guardian, this Privacy Policy shall apply to both your own personal data and the personal data of your child provided to us, and in such case the term “your personal data” shall be construed accordingly.

This privacy notice for Irish International Education Center describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (‘process’) your information when you use our services (‘Services’), such as when you:

• Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.  The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect, only if you subscribe to our eNews,  may include the following:

• email addresses
• names

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

2. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

3. LEGAL BASES

We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e. legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfil our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfil our legitimate business interests. It is our policy to pledge to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of the Laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In doing so, we will ensure compliance by our staff to the strictest standards of security and confidentiality.  In the event that there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese version of this Privacy Policy Statement, the English version shall prevail.

4. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

• Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
• When we use Google Analytics. We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyse the use of the Services. The Google Analytics Advertising Features that we may use include Google Analytics Demographics and Interests Reporting. • When we use Google Maps Platform APIs. We may share your information with certain Google Maps Platform APIs (e.g. Google Maps API, Places API).

5. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. We do these things so that we can measure traffic, gauge the popularity of various parts of the Website, to gain some general knowledge about our audience, and market the Website to advertisers with whom we may share summarised traffic data. This information does not identify you as an individual.

6. STORAGE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it.  You can withdraw your consent OR unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by contacting us by email us at info@iiec.com.hk.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

We may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.

This Privacy Policy is subject to change.  Any changes will be posted on this page.
