STEAM refers to an educational model that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. In recent years, it has become increasingly popular, and many schools now provide relevant educational resources. They incorporate STEM elements into both classroom instruction and extracurricular activities to cultivate students’ knowledge and skills in science, enabling them to develop in diverse ways and align with future societal developments.

Cork is the second-largest city in Ireland, located in the southwest of the country. The city is built on two islands in the River Lee, which flows through the city, winding past beautiful bridges that connect these islands.
Cork boasts a rich cultural heritage, featuring numerous museums, art galleries, and theaters, along with all the amenities of a modern city. The population of Cork and its suburbs is approximately 210,000, providing a safe and friendly environment for students to learn and interact with local residents.
Cork International Airport is located about 4 kilometers from the city center, offering convenient access to many international destinations.

Accommodation Option 1: Melbourn Point & Dean's Hall Student Apartment
Students will stay in the student accommodation at Munster Technological University (Melbourn Point & Dean’s Hall) experiencing university life. Melbourn Point & Dean’s Hall is are located less than a 15-minute walk from the MTU campus.
Melbourn Point & Dean’s Hall is a brand new, modern apartment building, featuring four or five-bedroom apartments equipped with all modern amenities. Students will stay in single rooms with private bathrooms, which include ample wardrobe space, a desk, and a bookshelf. All rooms are equipped with their own private bathrooms.

Class Location:Munster Technological University (MTU)
Students who choose the student apartment accommodation option will attend classes at Munster Technological University (MTU). Established in 2021, MTU has campuses located in the cities of Cork and Tralee in southern Ireland. The university aims to provide high-quality technical and vocational education and is committed to developing professionals with practical skills and innovative thinking.
MTU offers a diverse range of courses covering fields such as science, engineering, business, arts, and humanities, and works closely with industry to ensure that the curriculum aligns with current market demands. The university features modern facilities, including advanced laboratories, innovation centers, and learning spaces, providing students with an excellent learning environment.

Accommodation Option 2: Host Family
Students can also choose the homestay option, living with local families to experience the authentic daily life of Ireland. Host families are known for their warm hospitality, allowing students to practice English naturally through daily interactions while fostering cultural exchange and a sense of security.
Students will stay with carefully selected host families, experiencing local life in a friendly atmosphere and a clean, comfortable environment. Host families are typically located about a 20-25 minute by bus to the campus.

Class Location: Douglas Community School (Cork)
Students who choose the homestay accommodation option will attend classes at Douglas Community School, located approximately 2 kilometers west of Cork city center in the Douglas residential area. Douglas Community School is well-equipped, featuring two grass playing fields, an all-weather pitch, two tennis courts, and a large multi-purpose gymnasium, providing facilities for all sports activities. Additionally, the school has spacious classrooms, a team of experienced and qualified teachers, and a variety of social activities, creating a top-notch study program for teenagers aged 11 to 17.
